The title of the paper
(font: Times New Roman (TNR) – 14 pt., all letters capital, bold, should be placed symmetrically relatively the middle of page along the width of text margin (16.5 cm), then – type the author’s initials and name, in two spaces).
Author’s initials and names
(font: – 12 pt, lower-case (bold) letters, should be placed symmetrically relatively the middle of page, text margin, then – type the title of the affiliation and its mail address in two spaces).
Author’s affiliation and its mail address
(font: – 12 pt, letters lower-case, put in italics, should be placed symmetrically relatively the middle of page along the width of text margin, then a brief summary of presented paper should be typed in two spaces). If there are some authors and they work in different affiliations, before their names should be put numbers in the order of increase. For example, 1 – name of the first affiliation, its mail address, 2 – name of the second affiliation. its mail address and etc. The same number should be indicated in superscript after surname of the author, working in this affiliation, for example, A.D.Aliev1, S.T. Bayramov2 and others).
Abstract

1. Introduction

2.1. Titles and subtitles
Titles and subtitles are indented in the text by separate line and are printed by bold font – 14pt (for titles) and 12pt (for subtitles). Their numeration begins on the left margin of the text.
2.2. Text of the paper
Each paragraph begins with indention of 1 cm from the left margin of the column. The spaces between lines in the text are 1.5 interval, the text of the paper is printed in the Microsoft Word-1997 (2000 and later). Recommended font: 14pt. The other fonts (Helvetica, Arial and etc), should not be used. The volume of the paper should not exceed 14 pages, including tables, figures and reference. The papers are presented in Azerbaijan, Russian, or English languages at authors will. The preference will be given to the papers presented in English, as acquaintance of wide scientific publicity in different countries of the world, with publications of the Azerbaijan scholars and later on publication of magazine in English is planned.

The text of the paper should be formatted (in particular, all lines should be justified from left and right without leaving the margins of the text), should be edited and checked from the spelling point of view, special geographical terms and signs (in the international SI system). Composing the text general order should be accepted: Introduction (state of the problem) – problem composition – mainly the statement of the subject of investigation (including the methods, using instrumental tools, cartographic of other factual material, method of analysis and data processing) – discussion of results – (conclusions) – sources of the quoted reference.

The following details should be enclosed to the article in separate file (diskette) and separate page of the article:
Enlarged summary in English, volume – to 30 lines, font 12 pt and summary in Azeri (Russian) for articles written in Russian (Azerbaijan), volume – to 20 lines, font – 12 pt. Structure of each summary: initials and surnames of authors (bold), below – title of the article (uppercase letters, bold), below – text of summary.

2.3. Page format
Page format corresponds to A4 format, (21,0×29,7cm). Margins: from left 3 cm, right – 1.5 cm, from top and bottom – 2 cm. Pages should not be numbered, but while it prints, please, mark the numbers of pages in the upper right corner.
2.4. Illustrations, tables, formulas
Each figure (map, diagram, scheme, etc) should be presented as a separate object in the end of the text or as file in JPEG (*.jpeg, *.jpg). It is prohibited to join separate figures artificially. As a rule, their sizes shouldn’t exceed 7.75 cm in the width. It mustn’t exceed the width of text margin (16.5 cm) and located symmetrically relatively the middle of page.

Picture caption should be carried out by font – 12pt (bold), the caption (deciphering of conditional signs, explanation etc.) font TNR – 12 pt in italics.

Numbers and names of tables are given by font – 12pt (bold) above them. The tables shouldn’t be huge and shouldn’t be left the boundaries of text margin. Carrying the tables over from one page (start) to another (continuation) is not allowed. Maximum number of figures in the paper – 4, tables – 2. The tables should be placed in the text of the paper.

Formulas are given without intermediate computation, with compulsory deciphering of symbols using in them ( immediately after formulas), with a distinct displacement of degrees and footnote indexes, relatively the middle of page, containing this formula. Numbers of formulas are put in round brackets near the right margin of text on one line with formula in case if they are mentioned in text. Microsoft Equation 3 is recommended for formula printing. The width of line with formula and number of formula shouldn’t exceed 7.75 cm.
3. Reference
Within all the text of the paper, references to the literature sources should be given by pointing the surnames of authors and year of publication in brackets. For example: (Aliyev, 1989), (Kwon and Pletcher, 1994). In case of three or more authors the surname of the first author should be mentioned. For example: (Mamedov and et al.,1989), (Pletcher et al.,1991). In case of several originals presence with a similar authors and years of publication, they should be identified by adding the lower-case letters of Latin alphabet to the year of publication. For example: (Sparrow, 1990 a) – first reference, (Sparrow,1990 b) – second reference etc.

Quoted reference should be enumerated at the end of the paper in the alphabetical order. Font – 12 pt, the second and the following lines of each sources must be printed with 0.5 cm displacement relatively the left border of the text. The following data are given for journal papers: surname and authors’ initials, year of publication, title of the paper, journal title (italic), number and page. For example: Shikhalibeyli, E.Sh. 1993. Once more about the urgent problems of the Caspian Sea. Izvestiya Azerbaijan Academy of Sciences, Earth’s Sciences.

The following data are given for monographs, reports and other such publications: surname and authors initials, year of publication, title of the book, publishing house, city. For example:

The following data are given for selections of conferences (symposiums, seminars, etc) and separate institutions proceedings: surname and author’s initials, year of publication, title of the article (scientific report, paper and thesis of paper), title of the selection (italic), publishing house, city. For example:
